Advice on riding 2008/05/03 22:42 Karma: 0
So, I ordered my bike (Bare bones w/ 80cc engine, 36tooth sprocket and 5 speed) and just wanted to know if anyone had tips for riding, like what to carry with you if things go wrong, what to do if you get pulled over, ect...

Oh, and is there anywhere I could find an analog speedomiter?

I dont know the laws where you are from, so I really couldnt tell what to do if you get pulled over.

As far as what to carry? Hmmmm...Well I always carry a 10mm wrench, pliers, two small cresent wrenches, a few zip ties, and a multi-tool. I also have a small hand pump attached to my frame, patches, and one new tube just in case. I hate fixing tubes on the side of the road. But, I have never needed any of it.

The speedometer, right here at spooky tooth.

I have a cheapo Bell multi tool, plus I carry a small pair of lock pliers (I don't remember life before locking pliers).

I should probably carry a patch kit, and a pump, but I've had exactly -0- flats on the road in 40+ years of riding.
