Greeting from Superior WI. I am a 48yr old thinking about a motorized bike. I have not decided if I should motorize what I have or buy a finished bike?I have a recumbent and a mt bike both nice. But a finished cruiser would look cool.

Hi, I have a mtn bike too and I went for a complete bike. They are very nice. I'm glad I went for the complete bike instead of a motor kit.

Hello jbh59, welcome to the forum. I think if you enjoy working on your bike and have a little knowledge getting a engine kit can be lot's of fun to build. I know some people who have never used a screwdriver in the life and have built there own motorized bike.
Weather you build your MB or purchase one, it's a blast of fun.

I my self purchased a complete for my first bike but I'm sure you learn the ins and outs better if you put it together which will result in a better relationship with the bike when you first start. yes bikes have feelings too I think Im going to name mine Eloise

THEY ARE SMALL MOTORSONLY TAKE A FEW TOOLS I BOUGHT FULLY ASSEMBLED I AM A CAR MECHANIC JUST THOGHT FULLY ASSEMBLED WAS BES THAT WAY IF THINGS WENT WRONG I WOULD HAVE IT IN FRONT OF ME TO SAY UM OH THE IS WHATS HAPPENING NOW I CAN FIX IT VERY SIMPLE MOTOR EVEN IF U HAVE NO MOTOR EXPERIANCE
