First of all, welcome. Second of all, I'm not very knowledgeable on the electric bikes, but a few here are- guys? That is a killer bike in the photo.
Someone will help you momentarily.

Welcome HumanVideo, I hope you enjoy spooky's forum. Don't know much about the electric motor's, someone here will have the right answer's for you. As far as the frame, I believe it is a Nerve Chopper. Here is one I found online. It look's like the same frame to me. Roland will be able to answer these Question's for you better. Nerve Chopper

Just now signing on here from Davenport, Iowa where the Mississippi River runs east to west. The bikes in the previous posts are most definitely Nirve Switchblades. I have 2 of them that I have recently purchased 48cc gas engines for. They do offer some challenges with a 3" wide rear tire. I will try to post some pics when a little closer to completion. So far has been a cool winter project, and looking forward to riding along the river this summer. I am sort of new to the forum thing so it may take a while to learn my way around here. Peace!

Hi to All, I was born in and live in Annapolis, Maryland. I have been riding bicycles for 46 years pretty much every day. I used to have a car, but it died in 1998, I still have a license, just in case. I like fooling around with mechanical stuff. I have too many tools, some would say. I've become interested more in motorbikes because the car traffic around here has become unbelievably horrible in the last 10 years or so. I've looked at so many websites on scooters that it is mind numbing, and I was so pleased to have come across this site. All or at least most of the scooter sites seem to be touting their products to the cell phone suv car people, so it was nice to find this place, which seems more for the bicyclists trying to keep up a little more with car traffic. Presently I have not the funds to buy one of these pleasant motorbikes, but I will enjoy reading about them until I can get one. I used to have a minibike in the late 1970's, cheap, dangerous, and fast,I rode around with others, but we were always fleeing from the cops, so it was not that much fun. I wonder if I still had if I could get away with it these days, I don't remember its' displacement. It would be better than a lot of the crappy scooters I see around. Oh, and I forgot to say some other things about me. My trade is woodworking. I play the guitar. I've built some boats. I like gardening. I'm a single guy. I'm getting older it seems.
I hope I have not rambled on too long. Cheers to All, tiredcyclist

Hey, welcome! I too am a woodworker/guitarist/gardener with a shop full of tools and love to "refurbish" things. Forget the scooter scene, they are either expensive or just plain JUNK! (I should know, I work on a lot of the CCS's (Cheap Chinese Scooters) that are sold on-line.) Just garbage. Now the origin of these bike engines is also China, but they are bery simple and easy to work on, though I've not had to do anything to the three I've owned except add fuel. Oh, and lube the gears once in awhile. Great to tinker with too. ...and CHEAP!

Thank you both and the rest, I'm just back from my 8 mile bike ride. Went to inquire about selling my NOS IPD Volvo parts on E-Bay, to be able to purchase the Qurve. Man it was cold out. Riding in this weather 32 deg.F., bugs me out, not to mention the wind chill. Of course, for me, the wind is always in my face, but the traffic was light. I'll have the wind anytime if the car traffic was a non-issue.
Cheers, tiredcyclist aka Price Houston<Real Name> in Annapolis

my name is bill and i also grew up in annapolis maryland, now i'm down in beautiful clearwater florida. i couldn't take the beltway traffic anymore. Anyway, i've been riding bicycles for over 25 years, & i'm burnt out on pedalling. i'm going to be getting the hot shot racer w/ 80cc motor, flat black, bobbed fenders, skull grips, monark fork, twisted pedals, black alloy neck stem, ninja star sprocket, black bullet light, blade mirrors, blue chain, bent chrome seatpost, high rise moonbar handlebars, round dial speedo, & a 48cc id plate to fool the coppers. i figure to shell out about $1000.00 give or take. it'll take me a few weeks to save up, but i'm sure it's worth it. that bike ROCKS & i'm gonna feel like a kid on christmas eve for the next month or so until i get it. anyway, congrats to the spooky teeth. they make a fine ride...

Hiya guys. Wowza! I like these bikes. I think I'll get the Violator, or maybe the NEW hot-shoe racer. Well, I live in East L.A. and I don't know much about bikes or motors, but I'm sure I'll learn... when I get a couple bucks I'm definitely getting one! I saw an article in the paper a few days ago about motor bikes. there's this place in the westside called derringer cycles that sells some pretty bikes for about $3,500... jeez. So I started looking around for better deals and I found you guys. Thank you JESUS! These bikes got some style, let me tell you... Can't wait to ride to work with some headlights and a cupholder...

3500 dollars?!? I could build one for each day of the week and have money left for gas for a year and then some for that amount.
As for the headlight, I'd suggest you run with a battery powered light with rechargables since using the "white wire" to power the lights sucks the life out of these engines.
