The idea behind my trike is that I will be building 26 miles outside of town, and want to be able to commute (in decent weather) without having to use a car. I thought about using a bike and put a friction kit on a Trek mountain bike, but it was a bit uncomfortable after a day's work. So I bought the trike. It's a WhizzWheelz Zoomer. The trike makes a great platform for motorization. The single tube frame makes it easy to stretch, and once stretched, just about any motor config. could be installed. You can see some vids of me riding the trike with a friction kit on it on You Tube, just search vids for Alaskavan. The Lifan installation should be complete in a couple of weeks. I have some details of the wiring to finish, and I still need to install the back seat.

Maybe the pic will work this time.

Third time's the charm. I actually read the instructions this time (not my forte').

It's amazing how stable the taspole configuration is. I have it set up with both brakes run to a single lever on the left, and the throttle on the right. The engine has an internal CVT, so there is no shifting. The best way to describe the ride is: Flying down the highway in a lawnchair that handles like a sports car. I installed a 62 tooth front sprocket, so I can pedal up to 25mph. A 2 cycle would work well for an application like this. Someone should try it.

2,750 miles on it now. No problems beyond loose nuts, etc.
