The first photo is across the state line by one of dozens of abandoned houses in the area, that's a "no littering" sign. The second photo is right after I assembled it from the paint shop...If you look real close, you can see the only paint sacrificed in the operation of the bike is the first part of the exhaust, it turned a light grey after a few minutes of running and stayed that way afterwards (no rusting).
Finally, that was a "semi gloss" paint. I used that because I was thinking any kind of flat paint may absorb any wayward fuel and oil....although that may be a weathered look some would want.
