LOVE my new Qurve 2008/06/13 03:37 Karma: 0
I had my Qurve fully assembled from Spooky delivered last month....I love this bike. I have 12 mile round trip to work everyday. It is a PURE JOY to feel the breeze and watch the beautiful ocean in San Diego. I am happy to park my V8 at home and smile every time I pass the gas station showing $4.79 per gallon (as of 6/12/08). Love the front/rear brakes and the 7 speed! My co-worker got himself a beach bike w/ coaster but does not have the braking power. Anyone looking into getting one....especially w/ gas price on the rise.....plus the FUN factor.....motorized bike is DA WAY!

Way to go, there, frankju. I ordered the "Urban Cruiser" (electric model) from Spooky Tooth this past week (on Wed. to be exact). I can hardly wait until it arrives but they say it should be at least 3 weeks or maybe even 4 weeks.

Did it take you this long to received your Qurve after you placed the order? Spooky Tooth says the length of time on mine is due to it being hand assembled. So, maybe that will make it worth it.

Retiree here so will just ride my bike for recreation and exercise combined. I'd have ridden mine to work also, and smiled all the way there & back, if I was still working.

Good luck on your purchase and then I'll really join you in a very gleeful mood. Haha!

Hi Compsol,

I apologize for any miscommunication from our end to you, but the Urban Cruiser will only take about 2 weeks to get to you. Definitely not 3 - 4 weeks for our electric bike models. The 3 - 4 week waiting list is just for our gas bikes right now.

Wow! That's great news, spookyto ... Thanks.

That pushed the "Excitement" button. Can't wait now to get to taste the open road on it and to feel the "wind beneath my wings". Oh, I know that last is a bit of an overstatement because of it's top speed. Ha!

Anyway ... I appreciate that clarification.

Thanks again.

It did not take 4 weeks for me. It was about 2 weeks. FedEx did damage my rear wheel during shipment so I could not ride it right away. I took it to a local bike shop and they 'true' the wheel and I was off. Cost was $30....but Spooky took care of that cost.

I have nothing but good things to say about the motorized bike. Save on gas....but mostly it is so much fun to ride. Wind in my face, little exercise.....I love it.

Have fun with your bike...I am sure you are going to love it!

Thanks frankju ... I have a feeling that I am going to love that new Urban Cruiser. It certainly should be fun, fun, fun.

BTW, I'd like to take a look at the picture of your "Qurve" bike. What is it listed under on the Spooky web site, as far as the model name?

Maybe FedEx will take better care in delivery on mine.
