When bike not in use is it better to leave the clutch engaged or disengaged? Or is there no difference.

In my opinion the clutch should be left engaged. The springs could become weak if the clutch is left disengaged over a long period of time.

I agree. Just like leaving a round or two out of the magazine of your pistol when it's in storage to maintain the springs' ability to push the next cartridge up into the chamber.
