I installed one of your motors on my bike,21 speed murray, I carefully followed your instructions,but now the rear wheel is very stiff and I cant peddle the bike.I haven't stated the motor as yet .
The clutch seems to be very stiff. What am I doing wrong.

Stiff peddling manifested when I installed a kit on a coaster brake bike, and presented two probelms, only one of which is I think related to yours. In a nutshell, I couldn't get quite enough travel out of the kit-supplied clutch level to let me fully disengage the clutch, which made everything drag. I used a donor bikes brake lever for my clutch and discarded the kit supplied one. I also put a little more tension on the cable - which I worry may shorten clutch life if its not fully disengaging - time will tell.
One things for sure - I can peddle now and push the thing without drag, and it will stall before it slips, so hopefully the problem is solved. I'd like to see a little different set up on the clutches myself, its really tough to get them just right.

Is it a coaster brake? Did you remove and grind down the dust cap where it fits into the center of the sprocket? Tighten the cones too much when re-assembling it?
