Hampton Cruiser? 2008/07/23 22:17 Karma: 0
I'm new to this. I want to buy a bike to install a 49CC onto.

There's an old lady in my town selling a Hampton Cruiser.
www.hamptoncruiser.com

She doesn't know which model.....

Does anyone have experience with these? I notice the front tubes on all of them are probably too thick....does spooky provide a mount adapter?

Is there a preference to have a bike with steel vs. aluminum frame?

Is it a bad idea having a bike with just a coaster brake?

Thanks!

My bike will have just a coaster brake to start; the kit includes an adapter for use with drilling a hole in the frame or using custom mounts.
Check this out- its a tower standoff. You can connect it to the custom mount using a bolt. You will apparently have to file off a tiny bit of the sides to clear.
