Newbie here just got my engine. I am wondering what the purpose of jamnutting is. Hopefully if i understand what it is supposed to do then I will understand how to do it.

If you ever need to insert a threaded rod/bolt without the head jamnutting will accomplish it. By using two nuts tighten together on the threads you will be able to drive the threaded rod in without ruining the threads.
