I am trying to find the threaded rod to replace the one i stripped on the spooky tooth engine kit. I believe it is a M6 X 1 type rod. Where can I get such a thing I checked Lowes with no luck. Any ideas?

I replaced all of my nuts,bolts,and threaded rods with grade 9 five MM allen head bolts and matching nuts and lock washers at Tacoma Screw.

I have almost finished breaking it in and have gotten a good start outfitting it the way I want. I'm going to do a banana seat when I have the funds.
I hauled about thirty pounds of groceries and an office chair around for about twenty miles today up and down steep hills (I'm from Seattle)and it worked just fine.
I have had to adjust the gas/oil mix though as I live at sea level and it's cooler here and it wouldn't run if it was cold or rainy until I used less oil in the gas. I haven't finished playing with the ratio yet though so I don't want to give hard numbers till I tweak it just right. I will continue to reduce the amount of oil in small increments just enough to eliminate the oily sludge coming out of the exhaust pipe.
