I purchased a 2 stroke kit and got it started one time since then has not wanted to start. I have grounded the plug to the head and seen very little spark, ohm checked the magneto and had a reading of 0.339 ohms from Blk to BL, checked ohms from Blk wire of coil to the cap for the plug and read 2.5 ohms. Tried adding fuel to the head and replaced the plug and no fire. I'm out of options, it seems the cap does not really lock to the plug like it should, should I try and just strip the cap and wrap bare wire around the plug and try? or is my carb feeding too much fuel. Really need help.

* Double check the connection of the wires.
* Check that no particles are lodged between the terminal and inner post of the spark plug.
* Try replacing the spark plug.
* Take a voltmeter or multimeter and adjust it to the Ohms setting at 20k. Ohms measures the resistance across a circuit. Check voltmeter across the blue wire and the white or black wire of the magneto. Your resistance should be 0.3 to 1.0. If your reading is far off from this, then the magneto is to blame for bad spark.
* Run the voltmeter, at the same 20k setting, between the spark plug boot and the black wire of the CDI. Your reading should measure 2.0 - 5.0. If the resistance is different than specified, this simple test will tell you where your problem lies.

could u clarify the multimeter test,do i put the blue and black magneto wire on the red meter wire and then the black meter wire on the frame or do i connect blue magneto wire to the red meter wire and the black magneto wire to the black meter wire.and were ezactly do i test the spark plug wire at. thank you very much.
