what is the extra hose on the carberator mount for.does it run better with the extra air filter? thanks

The extra hose is for a Boost Bottle I was trying out, but wasn`t worth the effort so I took it off....The extra filter is just there because I drilled some extra holes there to lean it out some and just wanted to have something there to make it look right....Doesn`t really do anything except do some more air filtering...
