In many states, the speed limit for gas and electric motorized bicycles (before you must have registration, license and insurance) is 20 miles per hour. Our gas powered motorized bicycles are very strong and capable of being fast. For motor vehicle standards, their emissions are clean. They get at least 150 miles per gallon. On a half gallon tank, the gas powered motorized bicycle can drive 75 miles before you need to refill the tank. They are 2 cycle engines, meaning that their lubrication is carried in the premixed gasoline. If you travel too great of a distance, there is a possibility of damaging the engine. We generally only recommend our gas powered cycles for short trips up to 30 miles at a time. An understanding of mechanics, basic nuts and bolts, will be necessary. Follow the maintenance guidelines and learn to troubleshoot, i.e. securely snug 3 areas around the engine to ensure that gaskets do not leak, adjust the chain and cable tensions. When the engine is broken in properly, engine life expectancy is somewhere around 10,000 miles. Engine gaskets, oil seals, crankshaft needle bearings, rings, and all other service parts are available through us. If you need technical help, please call. We are available Monday through Saturday at 866-243-4552. Starting: All of our motorized bicycles are set up like motorcycles. The clutch is on the left, throttle and front brake on the right and the rear brake is actuated by a pedal backwards coaster brake. 2-into-1 brake levers are installed on all multi-speed bikes. Pull in the clutch, pedal up to 5 or 6 mph and let the clutch out, the engine kicks right in. There is a choke for cold starting and handlebar mounted kill switch for stopping. If you would like to pedal freely without the engine, pull in the clutch and press the locking-pin. These are not centrifugal clutches, they are friction type dry clutches with serviceable and adjustable clutch pads and plates.
Partial Assembly $75 - Frame prepared, engine prepared with torque specs and gasket sealer, engine mounted, rear coaster prepared, rear drive sprocket mounted, chain cut, chain tensioner installed, chain line adjusted, control cables cut, handlebar drilled for throttle. Fully Assembled & Tested $150 - The most reliable option to ensure a properly running and tuned engine and motorized bicycle. We take great pride in the detail of our craftsmanship... and it shows. Unfortunately for our out of state customers, shipping a complete motorized bicycle can cost as much as shipping a full size motorcycle. For shipping purposes, we will carefully strap the handlebars and attached neckstem to the side of the frame with all cables attached, pedals will come off, seat and seat post will come off, the gas tank will come off, and the front wheel will arrive in a seperate box.

Customer Reviews:allan sullivan (Tuesday, 04 March 2008) Rating: This bike the the coolest little toy I have ever bought. I got the full assembly with many extras. It was worth every penny. Matt Lake (Wednesday, 12 July 2006) Rating: I own a bare bones and absolutely LOVE it. I find myself making excuses to ride nearly every day. To the mailbox, on the golf course, to the store, and even to the local pub (for a coke, of course). It generates lots of interest from non-owners and is highly recommended. Riding on the street is VERY dangerous, as most cars either don't see you or the underestimate your speed capability so ride conservatively in dense traffic, wear a helmet and most of all BE ALERT. The motor package is very durable and reliable. I don't hesiate to hop off of curbs and go off-road. There is very little maintenance involved (hence the reliability comment) so the only thing you really need to do is a safety check to make sure all key components are snug. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions: ritaandmatt@cox.net

tyler stein (Wednesday, 05 April 2006) Rating: Totally Awesome!
I got a slightly modified barebones kit, and i LOVE IT. The bike is solid and runs smoothly. I can't say enough good things about it. Once i get through the break in period you'll have to pry me off it.
I would recommend this to anyone who needs a cheap, reliable form of transportation around town or to anyone who wants something to cruise for fun. It's great.
I definitely am going to upgrade to the hairpin saddle seat, but other than that everything is better than i ever expected.
