GreenLine's new GreenBike features a brushless front hub motor powered by an environmentally friendly Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery pack. Ni-MH batteries last 3 times as long as Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries and weigh half as much while providing 30% more power than the SLA. Brushless motors produce extremely low drag because there are no touching/moving parts. This means that the Shimano 7-speed pedal drive train system will carry you as fast as your legs will allow. Sit back and enjoy a pedal free ride, use the pedals alone, or twist the throttle to help your pedaling along. Another unqiue feature of this electric bike is that by flipping a switch on the handlebar, a small magnetic sensor on the pedal crank arms is activated signaling the controller to give power to the motor only when the pedals are rotating. No need to use the throttle anymore! Pedal and the motor runs with you. Front and rear lights powered by a rear wheel generator are included in this great package. Bikes come assembled.
